Welcome to teacherz.com! I’m excited to share the story behind this hub, which brings together all the fantastic resources I’ve developed for educators. My name is Amanda, and I’ve been dedicated to sharing educational resources for over two decades.
My journey began in 1997 when I created A to Z Teacher Stuff, a website designed to organize and share the best free resources for teachers. What started as a simple idea quickly grew into one of the most popular websites for educators, offering a wide range of teaching resources from A to Z.
Starting in 2001, I was a pioneer in the concept of selling downloadable PDFs, making it easy for teachers to access and print resources. This innovation led to the creation of an online store featuring products from other innovative educators. I ran this store successfully for nearly 20 years, continually expanding the range of available materials. Eventually, I decided to shift back to promoting all the free resources available at A to Z Teacher Stuff.
One of the first product lines offered on A to Z was KinderReaders, a series of differentiated downloadable, printable books for young learners. KinderReaders has been upgraded and expanded over the years and now is available in additional formats that can be viewed and read on screen.
Recognizing the critical role that handwriting plays in literacy, I also developed Handwriting Teacher. This site offers comprehensive beginning handwriting resources, emphasizing proper letter formation. It’s designed to support children at all skill levels, from before learning to put pencil to paper to those refining their handwriting for neatness and legibility.
I grabbed the teacherz domain in 2005 because it fit so well with the “A to Z” theme, and first used it as an easy to remember name to direct users to A to Z. It now showcases the offerings of Handwriting Teacher, KinderReaders, and other resources from A to Z Teacher Stuff. This hub is designed to make it easier for teachers and parents to access the tools they need to support children’s education effectively. As we continue to grow, teacherz will introduce new products and resources, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of educational innovation.
